So, I've kind of been neglecting my
blog lately, so those of you who actually follow along with me...I'm sorry!
This blog is going to be just some insights on what’s been going on in my life
these last couple weeks and is pretty much just me winging this entire blog, so
bear with me.
Well the time has come...the time
that I've been waiting for since my freshman year. All my hard work is finally
paying off; graduation is in 46 days and I have to admit, as excited as I am,
I'm equally as nervous. Not only am I leaving a place I've spent the last 3
years making memories, developing friendships, and finding who I really am, I'm
also moving to a completely new state and school as well.
I was recently accepted into the New
Media Management graduate program at Syracuse University so I've been spending
the last few weeks; apartment hunting and filling out more forms that I thought
was even possible! I did a little research and found out a few noteworthy
Syracuse graduates:
- Donald Martino – Pulitzer Prize-winning composer
- William Safire – Pulitzer Prize-winning commentator and former New York Times columnist
- Dennis Crowley – Co-Founder, Foursquare (service)
- Nick Donofrio – Senior Vice President, Technology & Manufacturing, IBM
- E. Floyd Kvamme – Partner Emeritus; Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers. Chairman, Presidents Council of Advisors on Science and Technology under President George W Bush
- Arthur Rock – venture capitalist, cofounder of Intel and father figure to Apple founder Steve Jobs
- Joseph R. Biden, Jr. – Current Vice-President of the United States, former U.S. Senator from Delaware, Former Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations
- Sean O'Keefe – former NASA administrator
- David Amber – reporter, ESPN
- Harold E. Martin – Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaperman, Montgomery, Alabama Advertiser
- Fred Silverman – former President, NBC
- Vanessa Williams – singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, Penthouse model
...and that's just to name a few. (info comes from Wikipedia so if any of these names are incorrect, blame them)
So as I'm embarking on this new
journey of mine, I've learned to put all your trust and faith in God, keep your
family close, cherish all the moments left with friends, and don't fret over
the little things. Everything works out how it's supposed to.
Good bye Bloomsburg, hello Syracuse! GO ORANGE!
